This page should be used to track ongoing and upcoming work on the wiki. Please be sure to remove things from here once you have done them, and to add more detailed progress tracking once a task is underway.

There are some pages which are technically complete, but kind of ugly in their current form. If someone who is skilled at web design would feel up to making them prettier, that would be very welcome.

The pages that most urgently need a redesign (while still containing all the same information they do now) are:

The only other thing that should maybe be added to the episode pages are complete lists of characters who are only referenced in dialogue.

The character pages are the ones that require by far the most work.

ALL of the other characters have their biography section already filled out with a complete list of scenes that they're in. However, most of these are written in abbreviated, bullet-point format which will need to be expanded into full sentences/paragraphs. Once this work has been started, a list will need to be kept to track which characters have been done, and which haven't.

It may also be desirable to reformat the method of writing the episode that a given event is associated with. Currently, all are formatted like so: “S2E5 - The following event occurs.” The one exception is the page for Janet Shaw, on which I have experimented with a different format. A decision must be made as to the desired style for character pages, and then that style must be rolled out across the whole thing.

Finally, for the pages on historical figures, we may want to consider adding additional real-world information on them, possibly to the Biography section, or possibly to a new section.

Another thing that needs to be done is tagging. Currently, all characters are tagged “Characters” to indicate that they are a character, and “TODO_tags” to indicate that the rest of their tags need to be done. A list of desired tags (e.g. comic, agent, waiter, Gordon_Ford_Show_employee, LGBTQ_Characters, etc) needs to be created, and then each character page should have the “TODO_tags” tag replaced with all the tags from the list that apply to them. It may also be desirable to provide a list of tags somewhere (e.g. List of Characters), for ease of use.

For each episode, a list should be created of all the characters who do not appear in the episode but are referenced in dialogue. Pages will then need to be created for those characters. One prominent example of such a character is Mordecai Glickman.

I have a partial list stored elsewhere, which I may add here later.

All of the location pages need to have their “History” section filled out. This should include any real-world information about the location, as well as a list of events that occur there in the show.

Additionally, it would be good if information on the filming location could be added to the Trivia wherever possible. I have already provided the in-universe address whenever I could find it, but this is not always the same as the actual filming location.

It may ultimately be desirable to spin some of these things off into their own pages. For now, they are all together on this one page.

Add an explanation of the Hollywood script library that has the Season 1 to Season 3 scripts available for in-person visitors.

The main page for the show itself has the following sections that ought to be filled out:

It may be a good idea to create pages for the other Palladino shows (Gilmore Girls, The Return of Jezebel James, Bunheads, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and Étoile) in a similar style to the main show page.

It may be a good idea to create pages for various key crew members, particularly all the writers/directors.
