Frank

Mobster. Friend and associate of Susie.

Biography

S2E1 - Nicky and Frank escort Susie out to the Rockaways to rough her up, on Harry Drake’s orders. However, on the ride over, the two bond with Susie, and ultimately decide not to. They share a family dinner at Frank’s house and skip stones out at the docks. As Susie leaves, Frank warns her that she got off light, and that her problem is not going away on its own.

S3E6 - When Bernie loses the venue for Miss Julie, Susie meets with Frank and Nicky at the Stage Deli and asks for their help.

S3E6 - Frank and Nicky call Susie to let her know they’ve nabbed a theater for her.

S4E4 - At the Stage Deli, Nicky and Frank regale Susie with amusing tales from their jobs, including a castration mishap, and Susie shares her living situation difficulties. The two tell her that they think they have a line on a place for her, and offer to show her later tonight.

S4E4 - Nicky and Frank show Susie around her potential new place, a former mafia safe-house with a gorgeous view of Times Square. The place is pigeon-infested and far too large, and Susie is reluctant to take it until Nicky and Frank makes her realize that she can use it as a business office as well as an apartment. She is so elated with the possibilities that she barely notices when she agrees to give Nicky and Frank a cut of her business in exchange for delaying the first rent payments until she's got a steady cash-flow.

S4E7 - Nicky and Frank catch Midge as she is leaving Susie’s office and ask why she turned down the Croatia gig. She explains that it is for family reasons, and the two offer to look into Mei for her.

S4E7 - When the Weissmans get back from seeing Alfie’s showcase, Frank is waiting to tell Midge that he’s backing off Mei because the people she’s involved with are too dangerous. When Julie pops abruptly around the corner, Frank nearly shoots her by accident.

S4E8 - It's a chaotic morning at the Myerson office. Dinah, Susie and Maggie juggle phones as they field calls about Alfie, who is sitting on the couch next to James, annoying him. Susie keeps forgetting that Cissy and Thomas are there, and keeps accidentally swearing in front of them. Nicky and Frank show up and express disappointment over the lack of coffee and fresh donuts. Frank gives the kids lollipops, and when Dinah asks them where they got them, they refuse to snitch. Midge struggles to get through the phone gauntlet to ask Susie for help ducking out of the Wolford so she can deal with Moishe's heart attack, ultimately having to impersonate Florenz Ziegfeld to get through. Susie remembers mid-way through coming to the phone that Ziegfeld is supposed to be dead, which Nicky confirms, having been there when it happened.

S4E8 - At the Myerson office, Dinah tries to get Dave to install a second phone line, Maggie fields yet more calls, and Frank cooks as Nicky does the books. Midge comes in and shares the good news about Moishe, but Susie doesn't care. Maggie gets the call about the Bennett gig, but Midge makes Susie turn it down. Frank and Nicky try to get Midge to reconsider, but she doesn't budge. Dave refuses to install the second phone line until he learns where the first one came from, so Dinah takes over cooking while Nicky and Frank go to work on him. Midge pulls Susie aside and expresses her concerns about how much Nicky and Frank have been around lately.

S5E3 - As Susie takes a call from Tess, Dinah works on a red pillowcase with a sewing machine, Frank takes a call in Susie's office, Maggie fields calls from her own office, and Nicky sits in the waiting room presenting alternative cushion covers to Dinah's. When Susie hangs up the phone, Nicky consults her about the cushions, but Susie directs him to Dinah. A moment later, Susie takes a pile of mail from the mailman and Dinah answers a call from Midge, which she passes off to Susie. Midge shares her triumph with Susie, as Trudy and Dorie stand behind her, taking a smoke break. Suddenly, Rose walks into Susie's office, leading her to hang up on Midge. Susie welcomes her, and glosses over Frank shouting obscenities into the phone behind her by inviting Rose over to the waiting area. Rose tells Susie that she's trying to get a gun, to retaliate against the Matchmaker Mafia. Susie responds with extended disbelief, shutting down Nicky's attempts to interject advice, only wavering when she learns from Rose that they burned down the Tearoom. Frank finally slams the phone, and emerges to explain that his anger was due to some uncooperative theatre employees who would not give him and his wife tickets to Camelot. Susie encourages Rose not to do anything rash, and offers to let her use Maggie's place as a temporary office. Rose agrees graciously, and compliments Dinah on the pillowcases on her way out, prompting Dinah to tell Nicky that she told him so. Susie and Dinah then argue over whether to involve Nicky and Frank in Rose's problems. Behind them, Maggie calls out in distress and confusion as Rose begins to rearrange her furniture. Nicky and Frank's interest is piqued, but Susie insistently turns them away, and they return to discussing Camelot.

S5E4 - Susie meets with Nicky and Frank at the 1961 Building New York Expo rehearsal, and they tell her that she has to make Midge fill in for a missing performer in the garbage musical.

S5E4 - Nicky and Frank greet Midge as she arrives at the Expo, and tell her about her part. She is disappointed when she learns that the play is about waste management. As they talk, Jerome follows, desperately making the required alterations to the script and being verbally bullied by Frank.

S5E4 - Susie shows up to the Expo as Midge is handing out flyers for the show while in costume. After some conversation about her outfit, Nicky and Frank show up and wish Midge good luck. Jerome then appears and tells Midge that it’s time. Midge guilts Susie into staying to watch, then goes off with Jerome, who expresses his terror of Frank and Nicky to Midge.

S5E4 - Nicky and Frank watch with immense displeasure as Midge deliberately throws the second performance of the garbage musical. Eventually, it becomes too much and they go over to angrily confront Susie. In the process, they correct her misapprehensions about this constituting payback, clarifying that they own her forever. Joel overhears the confrontation, and tries to squeeze the story out of Susie afterwards.

S5E6 - (Flashforward) When Susie finds Dinah with a black eye and learns that her boyfriend Ronald beat her up, she calls in a favor with Nicky and Frank and gets them to beat up Ronald.

S5E6 - (Flashforward) Determined to set his wife free, Joel walks into Montero Bar right in the middle of their Christmas celebration and offers himself and his club business up to Frank and Nicky in exchange for his wife’s freedom. As Frank and Nicky bring the offer to their boss, Francesca runs over and offers Joel a Christmas cookie, which he accepts. Frank and Nicky then return, and accept the offer.

SUSIE: But what is this place? What was it before?
FRANK: Well, we used it as a kind of house that one could feel, uh, safe in.

NICKY: Wasn't so safe for that guy.

FRANK: You should consider changing your mind.
NICKY: And then you should change your mind.
– S4E8
FRANK: There is no “it,” Susie. We own you. Thirty percent of everything you do, everything you touch, everything she touches. That's the deal.
SUSIE: Yeah, but that was before we agreed to do this.
FRANK: Oh, Susie, I think you have a problem understanding things.
SUSIE: No, I don't. This was supposed to make us square.
FRANK: There is no making us square. This is it. This is the situation.
SUSIE: For how long?
FRANK: For as long as you are Susie fucking Myerson! Now you get your head straight, and you get her head straight. And don't you ever fuck with a musical production of ours again.
