Sailors on leave. Telethon audience members.

S2E9 - The three sailors are in the audience at the end of WNPO-TV’s 3rd annual Stop Arthritis & Rheumatism Telethon, when Midge performs and makes a joke calling them out, which they love. Their interest piqued, the three shuffle up closer to the front.

MIDGE: That's right. This is an extremely unlikely stickup. The only witnesses being some drunk cameramen, three sailors on leave, and 14 people half-asleep in front of their TVs.
