S1E6 - Attends a party at Vivian’s place, where he listens to Midge’s Manniford McClane story. He then does a spontaneous improv bit, which Midge joins in on, and introduces himself to her.

S1E6 - Randall comes to Midge at the makeup counter and tells her to meet him at the Stage Deli for a business proposition.

S1E6 - At the Stage Deli, Randall and his agent, Lew Fogelman, pitch Midge on a team-up duo.

RANDALL: So, I'm not really Ay-Rolf Hitlerburg.
MIDGE: Well, you had me fooled.
RANDALL: I'm Randall, Vivian's fifth favorite cousin.
MIDGE: Midge, Vivian's 34th best friend.
VIVIAN: My what?
MIDGE: Nothing.
VIVIAN: Couple of comedians.
MIDGE: Are you?
RANDALL: Am I what?
MIDGE: A comedian?
RANDALL: Oh, bad sign if you can't tell.
MIDGE: No, you're hysterical.
RANDALL: I'll take your pity. Yes, I've been at it a while. Almost made my living from it. Got an agent, got a manager, toured, did a little TV. In fact, I got to go. I got a set downtown in a half hour.
MIDGE: Oh.
RANDALL: Crappy time slot, but, oh, well.
MIDGE: You ever try a brisket?
RANDALL: A brisket?
MIDGE: Personal joke.
RANDALL: See you again. And don't be funny without me.

MIDGE: Pasty? I'd recommend Spackle. And a putty knife.
RANDALL: I'll pass.
MIDGE: So what are you doing here?
RANDALL: I have a proposition.
MIDGE: Oh, blessed day. The ring department's on the third floor. Remember the four “C”s.
RANDALL: A business proposition. But not here. You have time later today?
MIDGE: I'm off in an hour.
RANDALL: Can you meet me at the Stage Deli?
MIDGE: Sure.
RANDALL: Great. Point me to the shoplifting department?
MIDGE: Second floor, south side.
RANDALL: Oh. Excellent service.
