Teacher at The Alcott School.

S5E7 - Mrs. Moyers leads several mothers and Abe on a tour of The Alcott school. Abe is distressed when he learns that Ethan is in “the happy group”, and demands an explanation from Mrs. Moyers and Mrs. Foster. Abe insists that Ethan cannot be happy, and must retake the aptitude test to discover a skill.

S5E7 - Mrs. Moyers and Abe review the results of Ethan's second aptitude test, and Abe is severely disappointed to learn that his grandson is happier than ever.

S5E8 - Mrs. Moyers summons Midge and Joel to the school to have a serious talk about Abe’s recent disruptive behavior, much to Midge and Joel’s amusement.

ABE: What is that group over there?
MOYERS: Oh, that's the happy group.
ABE: I'm sorry, what?
MOYERS: The happy group.
ABE: But what do they excel in?
MOYERS: They excel in being happy.
ABE: I don't understand. They build a hotel, they're buying telescopes, they're basically a fully-functioning summer stock company, and that table, the one my grandson is at, is just…
MOYERS: Happy.
ABE: They're just walking in a circle.
MOYERS: Yes.
ABE: Why?
MOYERS: It makes them happy.
– S5E7

MOYERS: Mr. Weissman, Ethan is a sweet, healthy young man who also happens to be happy.
FOSTER: So, so happy.
MOYERS: Maybe the happiest child in the whole school.
FOSTER: Maybe the happiest child we've ever had.
MOYERS: In all my years of teaching, I have never met a child quite as happy as Ethan.
– S5E7

MOYERS: It's just one test. It doesn't mean anything. Except he's not good in math, science, English, or logic. Or days of the week.
– S5E7

MOYERS: Good morning. I'm sorry, did I scare you?
MIDGE: Always.
MOYERS: I sometimes do that.
– S5E8

MOYERS: We have a problem. He's been rude. Disrespectful. Incredibly disruptive. Throwing tantrums.
MIDGE: Oh, boy…
MOYERS: And then there's the pipe smoking.
MIDGE: Ethan's smoking a pipe?
MOYERS: Not Ethan. Your father.
– S5E8

MIDGE: Obviously, we would like my father to be able to see our son graduate. When he appears in school plays. As long as we keep him on a tight leash?
MOYERS: A leash would help.
MIDGE: I don't mean a physical leash.
– S5E8

MIDGE: Can we go…?
MOYERS: You may go.
– S5E8
