S4E6 - When the Matchmaker Mafia (Benedetta, Miss Em, Molly, Gitta) learns that Rose has been stepping on their turf by doing matchmaking for the Melamids (who are Jews, and thus Gitta’s domain), they invite her out to Brighton Beach under the guise of a luncheon for women who own small businesses. When she gets there, they reveal their true intentions, and openly threaten violence against Rose if she does not stop.

S4E7 - Gitta and Molly accost Abe at his tobacco shop and threaten to harm him if Rose does not stop. Abe flees, and hides in a Catholic church.

S4E8 - While nitpicking over an order from the butcher, Gitta opens a letter from Rose, who is refusing to kowtow to the Matchmaker Mafia’s threats.

S5E3 - Susie visits Benedetta in jail after Nicky and Frank sent the cops after all of the Matchmaker Mafia. She learns that Benedetta was arrested, Molly died of a heart attack, Gitta fled the country, and Miss Em's whereabouts are currently unknown.

GITTA: Melamid's my territory.

GITTA: Lost a lot of good ladies in the wars.

BENEDETTA: Now we each have our territory. Little Italy, Lower East Side.
EM: Upper Manhattan, Harlem, Washington Heights.
MOLLY: West End, Midtown, Hell's Kitchen.
GITTA: Jews are everywhere, but I stick to the Jews, and Melamid's a Jew.

GITTA: Good morning, sir. Are you enjoying your day?
ABE: Very much. Thank you.
GITTA: And there's more days you'd like to enjoy?
ABE: I beg your pardon?
GITTA: I insist on feeding my family. So when my livelihood is threatened, I threaten back.
ABE: That's understandable.
GITTA: There's a line in the Torah: “fuck with me and you die.” Have a think on this.
ABE: I will. But, for now, I'm going to move to another part of the store. Nice talking to you.

ABE: Oh, you know, I have nothing to do with what my wife does.
MOLLY: But you have influence. You're the man, aren't you?
ABE: I suppose.
GITTA: Unless we take your manhood from you.

GITTA: Too thick. Too thin. Too long. What kind of bread do you put that in?
MAN: How long is she gonna take?
WOMAN: Shh!
GITTA: Start again.
