S4E6 - Dinah finds Joel’s club for Susie when the operator fails to. She also introduces her niece, Cissy, who is spending the day with her. Her nephew, Thomas, can also be heard laughing from the hallway.

S4E6 - Dinah winces as Susie trips over numerous gifts from Sophie on her way in, and calls Sophie so Susie can tell her to buzz off. Her niece is there once again, and is now is running around with her nephew.

S4E6 - Dinah calls Midge so Susie can tell her about L. Roy Dunham’s latest hit piece. Dinah takes the opportunity to introduce herself to Midge.

S4E7 - Midge goes to Susie's office and tells her about Sylvio. Dinah and her sister’s kids are present.

S4E7 - Midge arrives at Susie's office as Dinah cries over her ex. Dinah goes out for lunch, and Susie mentions to Midge that she's not long for this job.

S4E7 - Susie takes Dinah out to dinner to fire her, but she brings Susie to see James, which convinces her to keep her.

S4E7 - While watching Lenny on Gordon Ford, Midge opens a package from Dinah, containing the dress that she lost at Sylvio’s place.

S4E8 - It's a chaotic morning at the Myerson office. Dinah, Susie and Maggie juggle phones as they field calls about Alfie, who is sitting on the couch next to James, annoying him. Susie keeps forgetting that Cissy and Thomas are there, and keeps accidentally swearing in front of them. Nicky and Frank show up and express disappointment over the lack of coffee and fresh donuts. Frank gives the kids lollipops, and when Dinah asks them where they got them, they refuse to snitch. Midge struggles to get through the phone gauntlet to ask Susie for help ducking out of the Wolford so she can deal with Moishe's heart attack, ultimately having to impersonate Florenz Ziegfeld to get through. Susie remembers mid-way through coming to the phone that Ziegfeld is supposed to be dead, which Nicky confirms, having been there when it happened.

S4E8 - At the Myerson office, Dinah tries to get Dave to install a second phone line, Maggie fields yet more calls, and Frank cooks as Nicky does the books. Midge comes in and shares the good news about Moishe, but Susie doesn't care. Maggie gets the call about the Bennett gig, but Midge makes Susie turn it down. Frank and Nicky try to get Midge to reconsider, but she doesn't budge. Dave refuses to install the second phone line until he learns where the first one came from, so Dinah takes over cooking while Nicky and Frank go to work on him. Midge pulls Susie aside and expresses her concerns about how much Nicky and Frank have been around lately.

S5E1 - At the Stage Deli, the patrons eat a Thanksgiving dinner consisting of things brought in by various people from the neighborhood. Dinah grows frustrated, as she attempts to arrange a group saying of grace, but is mocked and ignored by patrons including Billy Jones and Russell. As Midge and Susie leave, Dinah gives up.

S5E2 - At Susie Myerson and Associates, Dinah catches an incoming call from Midge and passes it off to Susie, warning her that Midge seems off. Midge tells Susie about “twenty in one”, which she has learned means writing twenty jokes in one hour. Dinah not-so-helpfully does the math on how many jokes per minute Midge will have to write. Eventually, Susie is able to calm Midge down a little and get her creative juices flowing.

S5E3 - Tessie calls Susie at her office to ask for help booking work as a singer. Next to Susie, Dinah works on a red pillowcase with a sewing machine. Meanwhile, Frank takes a call in Susie's office. Maggie fields calls from her own office, and Nicky sits in the waiting room presenting alternative cushion covers to Dinah's. When Susie hangs up the phone, Nicky consults her about the cushions, but Susie directs him to Dinah. A moment later, Susie takes a pile of mail from the mailman and Dinah answers a call from Midge, which she passes off to Susie. Suddenly, Rose walks into Susie's office, leading her to hang up on Midge. Susie welcomes her, and glosses over Frank shouting obscenities into the phone behind her by inviting Rose over to the waiting area. Rose tells Susie that she's trying to get a gun, to retaliate against the Matchmaker Mafia. Susie responds with extended disbelief, shutting down Nicky's attempts to interject advice, only wavering when she learns from Rose that they burned down the Tearoom. Frank finally slams the phone, and emerges to explain that his anger was due to some uncooperative theatre employees who would not give him and his wife tickets to Camelot. Susie encourages Rose not to do anything rash, and offers to let her use Maggie's place as a temporary office. Rose agrees graciously, and compliments Dinah on the pillowcases on her way out, prompting Dinah to tell Nicky that she told him so. Susie and Dinah then argue over whether to involve Nicky and Frank in Rose's problems. Behind them, Maggie calls out in distress and confusion as Rose begins to rearrange her furniture. Nicky and Frank's interest is piqued, but Susie insistently turns them away, and they return to discussing Camelot.

S5E4 - Susie calls Midge at work to beg her to do the expo for Frank and Nicky. Dinah is seen briefly handing the phone to Susie, and is later heard answering another call.

S5E4 - Spying an opportunity to get on The Gordon Ford Show, Midge borrows Dorie’s phone to call Susie and ask if she can get her out of doing the garbage musical. Dinah answers, and passes it off to Susie, who is in the middle of building a birdhouse for the pigeons.

S5E5 - As Susie handles Alfie, Midge and James, Maggie and Dinah make a series of calls to get Helen Dyer on the line for an update on James’ prospects at landing the movie gig he wants. Dinah is also tasked with deflecting the prospective clients at the door, including Nancy and Shelly. Eventually, Maggie gets a hold of Helen and Susie runs over to take the phone. Susie soon learns, however, that Helen is not the one with real power, so she tasks Maggie and Dinah with finding David Weston, who can actually make the decision.

S5E5 - The following evening, Susie checks in with Maggie and Dinah, but they still haven’t found him. Playing a hunch, she goes out.

S5E5 - Susie gets back and recounts to Maggie and Dinah how she found David Weston in a gay bathhouse and what she told him. Maggie is obsessed with hearing about the bathhouse, so Dinah and Susie send her away. Dinah expresses disapproval of Susie’s risky method when she hears about it.

S5E5 - The following morning, as Susie, Dinah and James wait by the phone with bated breath. Eventually, the call comes and Susie has Dinah put him on hold.

S5E6 - (Flashforward) After the Testi-Roastial of Susie Myerson in 1990, various comics gather to gossip about Susie. They mention that Dinah went on to become a powerhouse agent who ran Susie’s New York Office. When the table then turns to talking about Susie’s mob connections, that leads Carmine to tell a story about how Susie got in deeper with them in late 1961 or early 1962. He describes how Susie came into the office one day to find Dinah with a black eye from her boyfriend Ronald. Susie told her to take the day off, then she made her way over to Frank and Nicky’s and asked them for a favor. The two agreed, and soon went to beat Ronald up. In a different story, Dinah mocked Susie for celebrating with her pigeons after successfully getting George Toledano fired. In yet another story (December of 1961), Susie arrived at her office to find that Joel had broken in and was looking for her second set of financial records, eventually finding them hidden under the bed. Joel attempted to sharply question Susie about what kind of trouble she was in, but he was soon arrested by Dinah’s cousin Doug, a police officer who had come round to meet Dinah for lunch. Susie managed to talk Dougie into letting Joel go, however. The final story involving Dinah was the Midge Maisel Hawaiian Wedding story, which began with Susie talking to Dinah over the phone in 1973 about how relaxed she is - a calm soon to be disturbed by Midge’s decision to cancel her wedding.

S5E8 - Dinah attempts to patch things up with James over the phone after Susie’s recent gaffe with the Jack Paar offer. She then tells Susie to go to Baltimore and apologize in-person, or else she might quit. After some grumbling, Susie assents.

S5E9 - As Maggie, Dinah and Susie struggle with a message stuck in the bucket, Midge swans in and excitedly informs them that she's going to be on Gordon Ford tonight. Susie tasks Maggie with retrieving the message and Dinah with calling everyone they know to watch the show tonight to catch Midge’s set. Midge goes into Susie’s office and calls Joel to give him the good news, but she accidentally leans in pigeon-shit, ruining her dress. Dinah promises to pick up a couple of dresses that Midge has on hold at Bergdorf’s so she can change into them, and Midge sets off with Susie for the studio.

S5E9 - Dinah arrives in the studio with Midge’s dresses, and explains that she got them for free, on the condition that Midge shouts out Bergdorf Goodman’s on the show tonight.

Quotes & Dialogue

SUSIE: Who are you?
DINAH: I'm here for the interview. I had a 4:00.
SUSIE: Today?
DINAH: Yeah.
SUSIE: Fuck.
DINAH: You do need a secretary.
SUSIE: You've been here since 4:00?
DINAH: 3:30. I didn't want to be late.
SUSIE: Wow. You've been waiting for seven hours? Okay, you're hired.
DINAH: I am?
SUSIE: Congratulations. You want a beer?
DINAH: Do I still get the job if I say no?
SUSIE: Yep. You start tomorrow.
DINAH: What time?
SUSIE: I don't know. What time do jobs start?
DINAH: You're probably sleeping late, so 10:00?
SUSIE: Good call.
DINAH: See you tomorrow.
SUSIE: Hey, your first job is gonna be to tell all those other broads they didn't get the job.
DINAH: Fine by me.
SUSIE: Make it 10:30.
DINAH: See you at noon.
– S4E5
SUSIE: Who is this again?
DINAH: That's my niece. My sister had to work today.
SUSIE: Uh-huh. I'm not sure if that's the most professional thing to do.
DINAH: Oh, it is. Every office I've worked in, all the secretaries did this.
SUSIE: It's not lost on me you don't work at those offices anymore.
– S4E6
MIDGE: Hello?
DINAH: Hi. Miriam Maisel?
MIDGE: That's me.
DINAH: You sound funny.
MIDGE: Pardon me?
DINAH: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Dinah, Susie's secretary. I was just saying that I think you're gonna be a huge star 'cause you sound funny.
– S4E6
DINAH: I'm super happy. I'm happier than I've ever been in my whole life. Had a toy dog made of wood when I was a kid. You pull the leash and he wags his tail and walks and his eyes move? That brought me a ton of joy. This is better.
– S4E7
DINAH: I've left 52 messages.
SUSIE: Did you pretend to be Eartha Kitt? You do a great Eartha Kitt.
DINAH: (imitating Eartha Kitt) Three hours ago, yes.
SUSIE: Mm. What about your IRS lady?
DINAH: (regular voice) I did her, too, and now I have to have lunch with his accountant.
– S5E5
SUSIE: Good God, that amuses me. Why does that amuse me so much?
DINAH: It's because you're easily amused.
– S5E6
DINAH: I understand the goddamn complexities. You're gonna let James walk away 'cause you can't break Midge.
SUSIE: Fuck you, I'm gonna break Midge.
DINAH: It's not one or the other. Midge is my girl, too.
SUSIE: But Midge isn't getting it handed to her like James.
DINAH: Really? You want to try being Black for a day? No one's handed James anything, he's earned what he has.
SUSIE: I know.
DINAH: So don't let him walk away. Because if you do, then I may walk away. And you really can't live without me.
– S5E8
MIDGE: Dinah, will you marry me?
DINAH: I am not marrying a comedian.
