S4E6 - When the Matchmaker Mafia (Benedetta, Miss Em, Molly, Gitta) learns that Rose has been stepping on their turf by doing matchmaking for the Melamids (who are Jews, and thus Gitta’s domain), they invite her out to Brighton Beach under the guise of a luncheon for women who own small businesses. When she gets there, they reveal their true intentions, and openly threaten violence against Rose if she does not stop.

S4E8 - Benedetta opens a letter from Rose, who is refusing to kowtow to the Matchmaker Mafia’s threats.

S5E3 - Susie visits Benedetta in jail. They are both confused initially, Benedetta was expecting somebody taller, and Susie was apparently not made aware of exactly what Nicky and Frank were going to do or who they were going to do it to. Eventually, however, Susie gathers from Benedetta that Nicky and Frank sent the cops after all of the Matchmaker Mafia. She learns that Benedetta was arrested, Molly died of a heart attack, Gitta fled the country, and Miss Em's whereabouts are currently unknown. When Susie learns that they were responsible for the Tearoom fire, all of her sympathy evaporate. She then begins the process of negotiating new matchmaking territories on Rose's behalf.

BENEDETTA: Please sit. I'm Benedetta.
ROSE: Benedetta…?
BENEDETTA: No last names.

BENEDETTA: Manhattan is divided up into territories. It's the only way to keep the peace after the wars.

BENEDETTA: We can make this very, very ugly for you if we choose to.

BENEDETTA: Now we each have our territory. Little Italy, Lower East Side.
EM: Upper Manhattan, Harlem, Washington Heights.
MOLLY: West End, Midtown, Hell's Kitchen.
GITTA: Jews are everywhere, but I stick to the Jews, and Melamid's a Jew.

BENEDETTA: Business? What do you know about business? Matchmaking isn't a business. It's a tradition going back decades, centuries.

BENEDETTA: We're going to war, Vincent. My God, that smells good.

BENEDETTA: Rose Weissman can keep the Upper West Side. She just can't go above 125th or below 60th. Now that Molly's dead, she can take Hell's Kitchen if she wants, but she better bone up on limericks and the potato famine. What? Not good enough?
